This COLUMBUS padded shroud cover, model 1000, is designed to wrap around and protect a shroud, line, or wire-like component. The cover is blue and has nominal dimensions of Ø64 × 1000 mm.
The UV-resistant 600 DEN fabric is combined with a soft foam lining, which forms a padded layer around the enclosed component. The material is also specified as 1680 Cordura; the two material specifications do not further describe which layers or parts each one applies to.
The cover is closed with a double Velcro system. The inner Velcro strip wraps around the shroud, line, or wire, while the outer Velcro strip secures the cover in the closed position. The design allows the cover to be opened and closed without permanent attachment.
