CONNECT TO YOUR CORTEX
When paired with your Cortex hub, the wired Cortex H1 or portable H1P handset acts as a control and voice call interface for VHF, DSC calling and AIS collision hazard display. Optionally, you can add additional Cortex handsets (sold separately) for even more freedom and control on board.
ONE-TOUCH DSC
Cortex allows you to initiate direct DSC calls with other vessels by simply pressing the vessel icon on the handset. Initiate VHF calls to friends or quickly call another vessel when every second counts.

ONE-HAND OPERATION
The Cortex handset features a click wheel, ergonomic design and improved grip, allowing you to use the device while keeping one hand on the cockpit steering wheel or control arm.
CONNECT WIRELESSLY
Both the Cortex H1 and H1P handsets connect to the Cortex hub using Wi-Fi technology, so there is no need to run wires from the handset to the hub.
DEDICATED MAN OVERBOARD
Cortex smartAIS continuously monitors for MOB (man overboard) activations and issues an alarm when it detects one. The dedicated MOB situation screen automatically activates, enters a traceback mode and displays the water temperature, time and location of the MOB activation.
EASY-TO-VIEW SITUATION SCREENS
Whether it’s a potential collision, man overboard situation, or simply setting anchor, all Cortex situation displays help focus attention on priority actions by removing unnecessary visual clutter from the screen. You can quickly and intuitively see what needs to happen next.
HOT KEY FOR CHANNEL 16
When seconds count in an emergency, the handset's dedicated Channel 16 VHF quick connect key takes you directly to the international emergency calling frequency.
MONITORING AND CONTROL
Each Cortex handset has a screen for setting up and controlling the Cortex hub, viewing AIS target data and vessel instrumentation, managing and monitoring alarms, and configuring the system's remote vessel monitoring features.
ROBUST, NON-GRIP DESIGN
The handset's grip-enhancing, molded casing has a non-slip surface with cushioned shock-absorbing zones to prevent it from sliding off surfaces and prevent impact damage if dropped.
