CRC Teflub PTFE Dry Lubricant is a dry, anti-adhesive lubricant in a 500 ml aerosol can. Upon application, the product forms a very thin, flexible, and colorless lubricating film with low friction. The film does not stick, drip, or attract dust or dirt, which reduces the risk of sludge-like deposits.
The PTFE film reduces friction and prevents seizing, galling, and unwanted adhesion. It is water-repellent, cannot be washed off with water, and adheres to metal, wood, plastic, rubber, glass, and leather. Furthermore, the dry film is non-electrically conductive and can be used where a dry, non-sticky lubricant is required.
Teflub can be used on zippers, curtain tracks, drawer runners, punching tools, as well as graphic, textile, packaging, and labeling machines, among other applications. The release film reduces the adhesion of substances such as glue, paint, ink, resin, sealant, water, and ice. The product can also be used as a release agent for cold and hot molds for rubber or resin, as well as for water-repellent treatment of tents and clothing.
Apply the product in several very light layers at approximately 10-minute intervals. The film is dust-dry after 5–10 minutes at 20 °C and can be removed with acetone. The operating temperature range is -50 °C to +260 °C. For special industrial processes, the applied film can be heat-treated at 250 °C for 3 hours, but only when the materials and process are suitable for the temperature.
The aerosol is highly flammable and is pressurized. Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area, and protect the container from sunlight, sources of ignition, and temperatures above 50 °C. The container must not be punctured or burned, even after use. The product is hazardous to the environment and must not be discharged into drains, watercourses, or the environment.
