All Den Haan lamps are oven-lacquered for easier maintenance. However, if the lamps are in a humid environment, they should be cleaned regularly with water and wiped dry. Particular attention should be paid to corners and folded edges where moisture can penetrate under the lacquer.
When using oil lamps, discoloration of the parts that are heated strongly by the burner must be expected.
