This diesel pre-filter with water separator and glass bowl is designed for filtering diesel fuel in marine fuel systems, including inboard engine systems. The filter has a maximum flow rate of 65 l/h and a filtration rating of 12 µm.
The replaceable filter element retains impurities in the fuel, while water and sediment collect in the lower bowl. The transparent glass bowl allows for visual inspection of water accumulation and deposits without disassembling the filter.
The filter housing is made of die-cast aluminum, and the lower bowl is made of glass. A bottom drain allows for the removal of collected water and sediment. The filter's maximum external dimensions are 160 × 100 × 92 mm.
The filter features M14 × 1.5 threads, also referred to as MB14, as well as two inlets and two outlets. Two blanking plugs are included for closing unused ports. Hose barbs and fuel hose fittings are sold separately and are available for both 8 and 10 mm hoses.
The filter element can be replaced without replacing the entire filter unit. Replacement element part no. 17.666.10 fits the filter. For 8 mm hoses, fittings 17.660.02 or the fitting set 17.638.02 can be used. For 10 mm hoses, fittings 17.660.03 or the fitting set 17.638.03 can be used.
