Kill switch lanyard with safety clip for outboard motors intended for newer Honda outboard motors. The motor-specific clip is inserted into the motor's emergency stop switch so that the engine can be started and run with the kill switch system activated.
If the operator moves away from the helm or falls overboard, the safety clip is pulled out of the emergency stop switch, which stops the engine. The lanyard must therefore be securely attached to the operator or the operator's personal flotation device.
The product consists of an extendable, coiled lanyard with a carabiner and a safety clip for the newer Honda version. The coil design keeps the lanyard compact during normal use, while it can be extended when the operator moves around the helm.
This clip variant is developed for newer Honda outboard motors and differs from the clip for the older OMC/Honda version. There are no documented specific engine series, power ranges, or model years, so the shape of the clip should be compared with the motor's existing emergency stop switch before purchase.
The scope of delivery consists of one coiled lanyard with a carabiner and one motor-specific safety clip.
