Kill switch lanyard with safety key for outboard motors in a motor-specific version for Mercury and Mariner outboard motors. It consists of a safety key, an extendable coiled lanyard, and a carabiner.
The lanyard connects the operator to the engine's emergency stop switch. If the safety key is pulled free from the switch, it is designed to activate the engine's emergency stop. The extendable design allows for freedom of movement at the helm, while the carabiner is used for attachment.
The safety key features a closed, oblong loop profile with a smaller round attachment hole. The key profile is specific to this Mercury/Mariner variant and should not be confused with the profiles for other engine makes in the same product family.
