Kill cord with safety key for Tohatsu outboard motors is designed for the engine's existing emergency stop switch. The engine-specific key clip holds the switch in the operating position, while the cord is connected to the operator via the carabiner.
The cord is extendable, providing freedom of movement at the helm. If the operator moves away so that the key clip is pulled free from the emergency stop switch, the engine's emergency stop function is activated.
On the engine side, the cord is equipped with a Tohatsu-specific safety key/fork clip. On the operator side, there is a carabiner for attachment. The product includes a cord, key clip, and carabiner, but not the emergency stop switch itself.
Compatibility is stated at the engine brand level without information regarding specific models, engine power, or model years. Therefore, always verify that the engine's emergency stop switch has the corresponding key profile.
