Dometic CK 2000 recirculation cooker hood is a compact 12 V extractor hood for boats, motorhomes, and caravans. It cleans the air through recirculation and therefore requires no external flue, roof ventilator, or ventilation hose.
Cooking steam and odors are drawn in at the sides of the hood. The removable metal grease filter captures grease particles, while the replaceable active carbon filter reduces odors before the cleaned air is recirculated back into the room. The airflow forms an air dome around the cooking area, which limits the spread of steam and odors.
The fan has two speeds with an air capacity of 38/45 m³/h and a power consumption of 5 W. The integrated work lighting consists of two 12 V, 10 W GU4 halogen lamps with two brightness levels. The fan and light are operated separately, and the maximum total power consumption is 25 W.
The cooker hood measures 400 mm in width, 56 mm in height, and 280 mm in depth. It is mounted above the cooking area, preferably under or integrated into an overhead cabinet, and fastened with four included screws. When mounting above a gas hob, the distance to the flame must be at least 65 cm. Connection is made to a 12 V battery via the terminal on the back with a red wire for positive and a black or blue wire for negative. The installation diagram shows a 4 A slow-blow fuse of size 5 × 20 mm.
The metal grease filter can be cleaned manually with warm water, dish soap, and a soft nylon brush, or washed in a dishwasher at 65 °C. For normal use, cleaning is recommended approximately every six months. The filter must be dried thoroughly before reinstallation. The active carbon filter should also be replaced approximately every six months with normal use.
The cooker hood should be started a few minutes before cooking and continue for a few minutes after to reduce residual odors. Flambéing under the hood is not permitted. The halogen lamps must cool down before replacement and be replaced with the same type: 12 V, 10 W and GU4.
