This Dometic CV 1004 central vacuum system is designed for space-saving installation in boats, motorhomes, and caravans. The system is used for dry indoor vacuuming and provides a suction capacity of 2500 mm water column with a power consumption of 950 W.
The suction hose can be connected directly to the central unit or via the included external hose socket. When using the external hose socket, the vacuum cleaner starts automatically when the hose is inserted and stops again when it is removed. A sliding cover closes the direct connection on the front and improves suction performance through the external intake.
The system features a 12 m suction hose and an efficient, allergy-friendly triple filter. The dust bag is replaced through the front of the unit, while the motor filter protects the motor from dirt. The motor filter must be cleaned or replaced after five bag changes or sooner if heavily soiled. The motor's thermal overload protection interrupts operation in case of overheating.
The central unit is intended for flush or recessed installation in a bulkhead, a suitable cavity wall, or existing furniture. The unit measures 298 × 171 × 175 mm, and the cutout for the main unit must be 280 × 153 mm. The permissible panel thickness is 10–25 mm, while the mounting hole for the external hose socket is Ø60 mm. The installation location must be dry, protected from high temperatures, and adequately ventilated.
The main power supply is 220–240 V AC. The included connection cable must be used without an extension cord, and a suitable wall outlet must be located nearby. The orange 24 V DC wires on the back constitute the control circuit for the external hose socket and are not the unit's main power supply.
The scope of delivery includes the central vacuum, 12 m suction hose, floor nozzle, brush nozzle, dust nozzle, crevice nozzle, telescopic tube, external hose socket, 2 m connecting hose, mounting connections, and two dust bags. A spare bag kit with five bags is available as item no. 50.851.05. Dometic CV 1004 VCB with manufacturer no. 9103501128 contains five dust bags and one motor filter, while Dometic VacPort with manufacturer no. 9103501127 can be used as an automatic floor-level suction inlet.
The system may only be used for dry indoor vacuuming and is not intended for outdoor or commercial use. Liquids, solvents, corrosive substances, hot or glowing objects, sharp objects, and toxic materials must not be vacuumed.
