This AC/DC power supply for refrigerators is a Dometic CoolPower DPS-R 135 mains adapter for operating 12/24 V compressor refrigerators from a 100–240 V AC mains. It delivers up to 135 W and is designed for Dometic 12/24 V DC cooling products with a power requirement of maximum 135 W, including the NRX series compressor refrigerators.
The integrated priority circuit switches automatically between mains and battery supply. When mains voltage is connected, priority is given to 100–240 V AC, and the power supply delivers 27 V DC to the refrigerator. If the mains voltage is disconnected, the system automatically switches back to the connected 12/24 V battery, where the DC input voltage is passed on to the refrigerator. Manual switching is therefore not necessary.
The continuous output power is 135 W at 25 °C, the output current is 5 A, and the energy efficiency is over 88 %. The product supports 50/60 Hz and has an operating temperature range from −10 °C to +43 °C. The unit itself measures 32 mm in width, 100 mm in height, and 110 mm in depth.
The power supply features an EU mains plug, a separate 12/24 V DC battery input, and a polarity-marked DC output for the refrigerator. The DC installation must be protected with a 15 A fuse, and correct polarity must be observed. The required cable cross-section depends on system voltage and cable length: At 12 V, use at least 4 mm² up to approx. 4 m, 6 mm² at approx. 4–6 m, and 10 mm² over approx. 6 m. At 24 V, use approx. 2.5 mm² up to approx. 8 m, 6 mm² at approx. 8–12 m, and 10 mm² over approx. 12 m.
A mounting bracket and two screws are included for installation by the refrigerator. The delivery also includes an adapter, a magnetic DC cable, an AC cable with a plug, and a manual. For installation in a boat, the work must be performed by a qualified marine electrician. The unit is intended for dry indoor mounting and must not be used outdoors, submerged in water, or exposed to moisture and intense heat.
