This Dometic NRX C compressor refrigerator with a dark silver front is the NRX 50C model for built-in installation in boats, motorhomes, caravans, and trucks. The unit runs on 12/24 V DC and features a removable freezer compartment, allowing the interior space to be adapted to different cooling and freezing requirements.
The 3-in-1 cooling solution can be used as a refrigerator, a freezer, or a combined fridge/freezer. With the freezer compartment installed, the net capacity is 44 litres, divided into 39.6 litres of fridge space and 4.4 litres of freezer space. When the freezer compartment is removed, the cooling capacity increases to 46 litres. The fridge compartment can be set from 0 to +12 °C, while the freezer compartment operates from –15 to –5 °C. The entire cabinet can be used in freezer mode at –6 °C.
The compressor has variable speed and three operating settings: Eco for energy-efficient operation, Boost/Performance for rapid cooling, and Silent for quiet operation. The interior, flush-mounted touch panel has an integrated LED light bar. The energy consumption is 0.2222 kWh per 24 hours at an interior temperature of 4 °C and an ambient temperature of 25 °C, and the noise emission is 40–45 dB(A).
The frameless door has a full-width integrated handle and can be hinged to open to the right or left. A dual locking mechanism secures the door at both the top and bottom during sailing or driving. The lock can also be set to a ventilation or winter position to keep the door slightly ajar when not in use.
The refrigerator measures 380 × 525 × 510 mm in width, height, and depth and weighs 17 kg. When mounting with a universal frame, a niche of 392–394 × 534–536 mm is required. At least 50 mm of free ventilation space must be ensured at the marked air intakes and outlets, as insufficient air circulation reduces cooling performance. The condensation drain can be connected using the included drain elbow.
The product is intended for indoor installation in furniture or an installation niche. When installed in a boat, it must be placed in a protected living area and not on an open deck. The freezer compartment is designed for storing pre-frozen food, ice cream, and ice cubes, and not for flash-freezing fresh food. Matching dark silver mounting frame 50.907.03 and stainless steel mounting frame 50.908.03 are sold separately and support both standard and flush mounting.
