Dometic NRX compressor refrigerator with stainless steel front in model NRX 80S is a built-in 12/24 V DC refrigerator for boats, campers, caravans, and other mobile installations. The flexible 3-in-1 design allows the refrigerator and freezer compartment to be used simultaneously, the freezer compartment to be removed for a 78 l cooling volume, or the entire cabinet to be used in freezer mode.
With the freezer compartment installed, the total volume is 75 l, divided into 68.4 l of cooling space and 6.6 l of freezer space according to EN 62552. The refrigerator temperature can be set from 0 °C to +12 °C, while the freezer compartment operates from −15 °C to −5 °C. When the entire cabinet is used in freezer mode, the temperature is −6 °C.
The variable compressor has Eco, Boost/Performance, and Silent operating modes, allowing the cooling to be adapted to needs. The nominal input power is 55 W DC, and energy consumption is 0.33 kWh per 24 hours at DC 5/25 °C. The built-in battery protection cuts off at 10.4 V on a 12 V system and 22.8 V on a 24 V system, and reconnects at 11.7 V and 24.2 V, respectively.
The internal touch control panel has an integrated LED light bar. The door features a full-width integrated handle, reversible hinging, and dual-function locks, which can also hold the door in a ventilation position when the refrigerator is not in use. The interior includes a freezer compartment, shelves, a bottle holder, a door bin, and two vegetable/fresh food boxes. The door shelves can hold up to 5 kg each, and the total load on the door must not exceed 10 kg.
The refrigerator measures 475 mm in width, 625 mm in height, and 537 mm in depth and has a net weight of 20 kg. The beveled back supports space-saving built-in installation on board. The installation opening must be 487–489 mm wide and 634–636 mm high, and the marked ventilation areas require at least 50 mm of free space for sufficient airflow.
The front panel is made of stainless steel. The cooling system uses 32 g of R134a refrigerant with a GWP of 1430 and a CO₂ equivalent of 0.046 t. Noise emission is 40–45 dB(A) according to EN 60704, and the product is intended for ambient temperatures from +16 °C to +43 °C in climate class T. Delivery includes the refrigerator, a drain elbow, a quick start guide, and an installation manual.
Installation and accessories
A mounting frame with item no. 50.908.07 fits this stainless NRX 80 variant and can be configured for standard or flush mounting. The frame is sold separately. The CoolPower DPS-R 135 power adapter with item no. 50.820.10 can be used for operation from 100–240 V AC via 24 V DC.
