Dometic NRX compressor refrigerator with stainless steel front is a built-in refrigerator in the NRX0035S model for 12/24 V DC. It is designed for indoor installation in boats, motorhomes, caravans, and trucks, combining a refrigerator and removable freezer compartment in a compact cabinet.
The flexible 3-in-1 solution can be used as a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, as a larger refrigerator with the freezer compartment removed, or as an all-freezer at approximately −6 °C. The total volume is 32 l with the freezer compartment installed, divided into 27.3 l of refrigerator space and 4.4 l of freezer space. When the freezer compartment is removed, the usable cooling capacity increases to 34 l. The freezer compartment is intended for pre-frozen goods, ice cream, and ice cubes, and not for flash-freezing fresh food.
The energy-efficient compressor has variable speed and three operating modes for reduced energy consumption, higher cooling performance, and lower noise levels respectively. The nominal input power is 50 W, and the energy consumption is 0.28 kWh per 24 hours at 5 °C internal and 25 °C ambient temperature. The noise emission is 40–45 dB(A). The internal touch panel has an integrated LED light bar and provides easy access to the cooling settings.
The cabinet measures 380 mm in width, 525 mm in height, and 480 mm in depth including the compressor and spacer. On this NRX 35 variant, the compressor can be remotely located up to 1.3 m from the refrigerator, reducing the required cabinet depth to 355 mm. The installation diagram indicates a separate frame/niche dimension of 392–394 mm in width and 534–536 mm in height. Free air circulation around the cooling unit must be ensured with at least 50 mm of ventilation space in the indicated installation directions.
The door front is made of SUS316 stainless steel, while interior shelves and brackets are made of SUS304 stainless steel. The door has an integrated full-width handle, reversible hinges, and a locking mechanism with both transport closure and a ventilation position. The ventilation position keeps the door ajar when the refrigerator is not in use. The interior also includes two vegetable drawers, a bottle holder, and a door shelf.
The refrigerator can be mounted as standard built-in or flush-mounted with the separately sold adjustable frame with item no. 50.908.03, corresponding to Dometic 9620012877. The product has a condensation drain, and a drain bend is included together with a quick operation manual and installation guide. The recommended fuse is 15 A at both 12 V and 24 V.
