Dometic Oceanair SkyScreen Pleated blind with blackout and flyscreen for boat hatches is a combined solution for the Bomar 1029. The variant is also compatible with the Lewmar 30 and is adapted for a hatch opening of 470 × 340 mm.
The 100% blackout pleated blind and the pleated flyscreen are combined in one compact aluminum cassette. The blind and screen are operated manually and can be pulled with full travel across the hatch opening. The flyscreen allows for ventilation through an open hatch, while brush seals in the side profiles reduce the possibility of insects passing along the edges.
The cassette is made of powder-coated aluminum and has a white texture in RAL 9016. The construction has a depth of 25.2 mm and is designed with a low profile to limit the impact on headroom in the cabin. Integrated magnetic handles make it simple to connect and position the blind and screen panels. When both panels are folded away, the hatch opening is clear.
The blind can be surface-mounted on the cabin's interior lining or installed hidden or flush-mounted. For installation, countersunk screws size no. 6 with a maximum engagement depth of 6 mm should be used. At the documented opening height of 340 mm, the crossbar does not intrude into the clear opening.
The primary compatible hatch is the Bomar 1029 with part no. 19.720.02. The blind is also suitable for Lewmar 30 hatches with part nos. 19.410.30 and 19.420.30. The measurement 470 × 340 mm describes the interior hatch opening and not the external product dimensions of the cassette.
An interior finishing frame consisting of four separate molded parts can be ordered separately. The series supports finishing frames with depths of 28, 35, 42, 50, 60, and 80 mm, but the specific frame variant must be chosen after installation. Fabric and frame are cleaned with a clean, damp cloth. During longer periods of non-use, the blind should be stored in the retracted position.
