This Dometic Oceanair SkyScreen Roller Surface 2 blackout blind and flyscreen for boat hatches is a combined, manually operated solution for the Bomar 1029. The variant is designed for an internal hatch opening of 470 × 340 mm and combines 100% blackout and insect protection in one white low-profile unit.
The blackout blind and flyscreen are connected by a user-friendly magnetic seal. Both sides can be pulled across the entire opening, or they can meet at an optional position, allowing the hatch, for example, to be partially shaded and partially covered by the flyscreen. The flyscreen allows for ventilation through the open hatch while restricting access for insects.
The unit is manufactured with a PVC frame and has a specified depth of 28.5 mm. The construction, blackout fabric, and flyscreen are white. The low profile is suitable for mounting on the cabin's interior lining, including retrofitting and installations with limited construction depth.
The system consists of cassette units for the blind and flyscreen, side tracks, corner pieces, crossbars, and roller and tensioning mechanisms. The side tracks are assembled with the corner pieces, after which the movement of the blind and screen is controlled. The product requires no electrical connection.
The measurement 470 × 340 mm is the specified internal opening and compatibility measurement for the Bomar 1029 and not the product's overall external dimensions. Therefore, please check the hatch model and opening measurements before ordering.
A flexible PVC finishing trim can be ordered separately as item no. 19.809.05 in a 2.5 m roll or 19.809.20 in a 20 m roll. Spare handles for Surface SkyScreen models after 2012 are available as a pair under item no. 19.899.01.
