This Dometic Oceanair Skyshade Cabinshade blackout roller blind, model CSH-3, is a cassette-mounted roller blind for boat hatches, deck hatches, portlights, and smaller cabin windows. The white fabric has a width of 550 mm and a maximum extension of 600 mm.
The Solar White fabric provides 100% blackout with 0% light transmission. The fabric is UV-resistant, heat-reflective, and moisture-resistant, and features a wipe-clean surface. The blind has a single fabric panel and can be fully retracted into the cassette when the opening needs to be clear.
The extruded cassette is 50 mm high and 28 mm deep, while the bottom rail is 13 mm high. Anti-rattle end caps reduce noise while sailing. The construction is tested for marine environments and can be used on vertical, horizontal, and slightly curved mounting surfaces.
The fabric dimensions are 550 × 600 mm. Using the manufacturer's sizing formulas, this variant requires a total mounting area of 612 mm in width and 673 mm in height when fully extended. These dimensions describe the required mounting area and must therefore be checked against the opening and the available space around it.
Mounting is performed with two screws, and mounting brackets are included. Minigrip is used as the standard retention method for the bottom rail. The blind can be mounted in various orientations, but the specific attachment direction must be chosen according to the mounting surface and the provided installation instructions.
Cabinshade is a pure blackout roller blind without an integrated insect screen. The series can also be supplied in custom sizes, but this variant is the fixed CSH-3 size with manufacturer number CSH-3-W-RP.
