This Dometic Oceanair Skyshade Hatchshade 750 roller blind in size 60 is a manual blackout blind for boat hatches and windows. The white Solar White Shield Blackout fabric has a width of 556 mm and a maximum drop of 600 mm.
The blind provides 100% blackout and rolls completely into the shaped cassette profile when not in use. Side pins allow the blind to be stopped in a partially open position, while a mini-grip handle is used for manual operation. In the extended position, the blind is secured with toggle fasteners.
The cassette and other hardware are made of powder-coated aluminum. The cassette is white in RAL 9016, and the white blackout fabric is water-resistant and UV-resistant. The total product width is approximately 596 mm, while the cassette profile measures 31 mm in height and 33 mm in depth. The bottom rail is 15 mm high.
The roller blind can be mounted on both vertical and horizontal surfaces and supports face fix or top fix mounting. Installation is performed with two screws, and the installation manual specifies 2 mm pre-drilling. Check that the substrate is sufficiently thick for the mounting screws.
The product is particularly suitable for fixed boat hatches where there is no need for an integrated insect screen. The nominal drop of 600 mm must not be exceeded during installation, as a portion of the fabric must remain on the roll.
The spring system requires no ongoing maintenance. If the fabric becomes wet, it should be pulled out and allowed to air dry naturally before being rolled back into the cassette.
