This Dometic SkyScreen Roller Surface 2 blackout blind and flyscreen for deck hatches in size 10 is designed for 2013-version Lewmar 10 hatches. It combines a manual, 100% blackout roller blind and a separate rollable flyscreen in one white, low-profile unit.
The blind and flyscreen can be moved separately across the entire opening. They can also be connected using the integrated magnetic seal and positioned so that part of the opening is blacked out while the rest is covered by the flyscreen. The three-layer blackout fabric reflects 80% of heat and is water and UV resistant.
The unit is made of PVC and features a white finish, white blackout fabric, and a white flyscreen. The color is RAL 9016. The documented product depth is 28.5 mm, while the interior opening and frame dimension is 260 × 260 mm. This dimension is a compatibility and mounting dimension, not the unit's total external dimension.
The system is designed for surface mounting on the cabin's interior lining and is suitable for retrofitting. It can be used with thin decks, soft headlining, or without headlining. The mounting surface must be level, as twisting or uneven installation can deform the unit and affect the function of the roller mechanisms.
The product is supplied as two roller mechanisms and two side rails that are assembled before installation. It is fastened in the four corners, and integrated adhesive pads can hold the unit temporarily in place during drilling. No. 6 × 16 mm pan-head screws are recommended; these are not included. Shorter screws must be chosen if the thickness of the structure requires it.
The roller mechanisms are tested and tensioned before delivery. If the spring tension needs to be adjusted later, the adjustment is located under the top right screw cover. A flexible finishing frame can be ordered separately as item no. 19.809.05 or 19.809.20. White spare handles for versions after 2012 are available as item no. 19.899.01.
