UV-resistant PVC base profile for C-shaped fender profile from Douglas Marine in grey finish. The profile is supplied as a 24 m roll and is used as a base for a 28 mm stainless steel fender profile along the boat's hull.
The base profile is extruded from UV-resistant PVC for outdoor marine use. The material is intended for long-term exposure to sunlight and saline environments, and this type of base profile is tested with UV exposure and salt spray to verify durability and consistent function.
The profile is compatible with the C-shaped fender profile with item no. 44.480.30. The compatible main profile is 28 mm wide, made of mirror-polished AISI 316 stainless steel, and has a flared hole design. The main profile length is 3 m, the material thickness is 1.5 mm, the height is 7 mm, and the hole spacing is 198 mm. These dimensions apply to the compatible steel profile and not the PVC base profile cross-section.
The base profile is part of a modular hull protection system where the PVC base is placed under the stainless steel main profile. The corresponding mirror-polished end piece in AISI 316 has item no. 44.484.36. The main profile and end pieces are selected separately according to the length of the installation.
The grey variant allows the fender profile base to be matched to the boat's colors and other hull fittings. The same profile customization is also available as a white variant with item no. 44.481.36 and a black variant with item no. 44.481.56.
