This Douglas Marine Simply fender profile in 316L stainless steel is a C-shaped protective and rub rail profile for boat hulls. This variant is Profile 50 and is supplied as a 3 m long bar with a profile width of 48 mm.
The profile is manufactured from 316L stainless steel with a mirror-polished surface. The steel is also pickled and passivated, which increases corrosion resistance up to five times compared to standard stainless steel. The construction thus combines a decorative finish with properties well-suited for maritime environments.
The cross-section measures 48 mm in width and 8 mm in height, with a material thickness of 1.5 mm. The profile is pre-drilled with flared, countersunk mounting holes with a center-to-center distance of 181 mm, ensuring a uniform hole spacing along the profile.
The fender profile is designed for the Simply system and is mounted together with the corresponding UV-resistant PVC base. The base's special cross-section provides the system's cushioning effect and reduces the visible edge around the steel profile. The PVC base with item no. 44.481.38 is a separate product and is not included.
The system can be finished with the end cap with item no. 44.484.38 and joined with the joint cover with item no. 44.043.50. The joint cover features an internal stopper that prevents the profiles from shifting and helps maintain the uniform hole spacing across the joint. The end cap and joint cover are separate products.
