This UV-resistant PVC base for stainless steel fender profile from Douglas Marine is a gray under-profile for Profile 20 with a deep-drawn hole design. The base is part of a marine fender system, where it is mounted under the matching C-shaped profile in AISI 316 stainless steel.
The PVC base profile has a cross-section of 40 × 16 mm and is supplied as a 24 m roll. The shaped, hollow underside has contact surfaces and a central groove that accommodates the compatible stainless steel fender profile.
The UV-resistant PVC material is intended for exterior marine installations, where the profile is exposed to sunlight and weather. The gray color allows the fender system's appearance to be adapted to the hull and other deck details.
The base is directly compatible with the stainless steel C-shaped fender profile with item no. 44.477.20. This is Profile 20 in a 3 m standard length with deep-drawn holes and a hole center spacing of 186 mm. The profile's dimensions and length describe the steel part and not the PVC base's own dimensions.
The fender system can be finished with the mirror-polished end terminal in AISI 316 stainless steel with item no. 44.484.35. The same base version is also available in white as item no. 44.481.35 and in black as item no. 44.481.55.
