DynaCook C&Y gas-ceramic cooktop X2 DOMINO is a built-in model with two heating zones for cooking in boats, yachts, motorhomes, caravans, and private households. Heating is provided by gas, while a 12 V DC supply of max. 15 W powers the electronic ignition, controls, monitoring, and safety functions. The cooktop therefore does not require a generator for heat production itself.
Gas combustion takes place under the black ceramic glass surface, so there is no exposed open flame on the top. The design protects the flame from wind and provides a flat surface that is easier to clean than traditional gas burners with freestanding burners and grates. The small FHZ heating zone has an active diameter range of Ø 105–150 mm and an output of 1.0–1.1 kW, while the medium-sized zone covers Ø 130–200 mm and provides 1.6–1.8 kW.
The touch control allows for separate regulation of each heating zone with 18 settings. Features include POWER/DynaBooster for rapid boiling, STOP & GO, automatic heating, minute minder, time-controlled shut-off, child safety lock, and a two-stage residual heat indicator. Electronic flame monitoring, protection against uncontrolled gas discharge, over-temperature monitoring, as well as acoustic and visual error alarms contribute to safe operation.
The cooktop measures 330 × 500 × 70 mm and is built into a countertop with a cutout of 310 × 480 mm with a tolerance of +2 mm. The installation height is 90 mm when the prescribed partition or protection plate is used. Two mounting brackets and a gasket are used for securing and sealing. Silicone or other malleable sealing compound must not be applied around the edge of the cooktop.
The model is intended for G30 propane/butane or G31 propane at 30 mbar and has an Ø 8 mm gas connection for RVS 8 assembly. The total heat output is 2.9 kW with G30 and 2.6 kW with G31, while gas consumption is 210 and 185 g/hour respectively. The unit is factory-set for the type of gas indicated on the type plate. At temperatures below +15 °C around the gas cylinder and gas installation, G31 propane must be used instead of G30.
Installation and initial startup must be performed by a qualified gas installer in a well-ventilated room. At least 150 cm² of ventilation opening is required, and the recommended minimum distance to a range hood is 650 mm. The electrical installation must be protected with a 4 A fuse, which is not included. When installing in a boat, suitable pot holders must be used so that the cookware cannot slide when the boat is moving. The product is intended for cooking only and must not be used for room heating.
