Elastic slatted base for beds and bunks is a trimmable and moldable base for a single bed or single bunk. The set can be adapted to the outline of the bed and is suitable for both rectangular and custom-shaped sleeping areas.
The curved slats made of flexible wood are connected by non-slip, moldable plastic bands. The bands follow the shape of the bed or bunk and hold the slats together after cutting.
The slatted base creates ventilation under the mattress, which helps prevent moisture accumulation and mold growth. The elastic construction also provides a more yielding and comfortable base.
The set consists of 16 wooden slats and 2 side bands, each 2000 mm long. The nominal size before adjustment is 2000 × 1000 mm. The slats are 62 mm wide and 8 mm thick; the slat length is adjusted by cutting to the desired outline.
One set is used for a single bed or single bunk. For a double bed, two sets are required. The moldable construction makes the slatted base relevant for individually designed beds and bunks in, among other things, boats, motorhomes, and campervans.
