This EURO Harness is an adjustable deck safety harness for children with a body weight of up to 20 kg. It is intended as personal safety equipment on board recreational craft and helps prevent the child from falling overboard when the harness is correctly connected to the vessel's safety system.
The harness is made with soft polyester straps and has a stainless steel quick-release buckle. The shoulder straps and waist belt are adjusted with sliding buckles so that the harness can be adapted to the user. When correctly adjusted, the attachment point should be positioned around the middle of the chest, and the straps should be sufficiently tight to provide a secure and comfortable fit.
The safety harness must be used in conjunction with a safety line certified according to ISO 12401. The safety line is connected to the harness's attachment point and to a suitable attachment point of sufficient strength on the vessel. The safety line is not included and must be purchased separately.
The product complies with Regulation (EU) 2016/425 on personal protective equipment and the standard UNI EN ISO 12401:2009. The harness is designed to prevent falling overboard and to assist in getting the user back on board. It is not a life jacket, does not provide buoyancy, and must not be used as a fall arrest harness for work at heights.
If the harness is used together with a life jacket, the combination must be tested before use so that the harness does not hinder the function of the life jacket. Correct fit is essential, and the harness must not be used with loose straps. Straps and stitching must be checked regularly, and the harness must be replaced immediately in the event of damage, visible wear, or after a heavy shock load.
After use, rinse the harness thoroughly in fresh water and air dry. It must be stored in a dry, ventilated place and protected from direct sunlight and sharp objects. The harness must not be machine washed, tumble dried, altered, or repaired by the user. It has no fixed expiry date, but continued use depends on its condition and load history.
