This Faston female contact for waterproof connectors is intended for cables with a cross-section of 4/6 mm². It is a separate flat contact for building modular, water-protected electrical cable connections.
The contact is mounted on the cable end and then inserted into the relevant plug or connector part. The female contact is connected to Faston male contact item no. 14.231.20, which is the corresponding variant for 4/6 mm² cables.
The item is a single loose contact and not a complete waterproof plug or connection set. The system's waterproofing is only achieved when the contacts are used together with the correct connector housings and sealing inserts with gaskets. For this cable size, sealing insert item no. 14.232.01 is used.
A complete plug connection is built using separate connector parts, two male contacts, two female contacts, and four sealing inserts of the correct cable size. The documented two-pole connector housings have item nos. 14.230.10 and 14.230.20.
