FIAMM Bora boat horn with compressor is an electro-pneumatic signal horn for boats with 24 V DC systems. The included electric compressor supplies compressed air to the horn, so no separate compressed air system is required.
The product consists of one 37 cm long stainless steel horn and a compressor. The design provides a very powerful and deep sound with a stated audibility of up to 1,600 m and is intended for clear acoustic signaling on the water.
The horn must be mounted on a rigid surface as close to the railing as practically possible. The mounting location must be protected from water splashes from all directions, and the horn should be mounted with an approximately 5° tilt as shown in the installation instructions.
The electrical installation must be performed with a relay and a 16 A fuse on the positive supply. For a cable length of less than 1.5 m, use a 2.5 mm² conductor, while distances over 1.5 m require at least 4 mm². Ground and chassis connections must be made correctly and checked before use.
