This Fireport hatch with hose nozzle is a recessed fire extinguishing access point for the engine room of a recreational craft. It allows extinguishing agent to be introduced into the protected space without first opening the main engine room hatch or cover.
The hatch is supplied as a complete, white hatch unit with a 90° hose nozzle. The nozzle can be connected via a hose to the engine room, allowing the fire extinguishing access point to be positioned conveniently within the boat's interior. The associated 90° component has item no. 17.681.01 and an Ø38 mm hose connection.
The construction is made of hydrocarbon-resistant nylon, designed for environments with potential exposure to fuel and oil. The recessed mounting allows for an integrated installation in a bulkhead, panel, or other suitable surface around the engine room.
The outer flange dimensions are 190 × 148 mm, while the nominal mounting cutout is 150 × 113 mm. Dimension E on the dimensional drawing is 71 mm. Check the available installation space and hose routing before mounting.
The product's design purpose relates to the fire extinguishing principle in Directive 94/25/EC, section 5.6.2, regarding the protection of petrol-engine compartments without the need to open the compartment in the event of fire.
