This FLAT vandal-resistant stainless steel push-button switch with LED ring is a panel-mount ON/OFF switch with a latching contact function. The variant is designed for 12 V DC, has a current capacity of 20 A at 12 V, and is equipped with a blue LED light ring around the push button.
The housing is CNC-machined from AISI 316 stainless steel. The front has a diameter of Ø22 mm, the width across the hexagonal mounting surface is 22 mm, and the total depth from the front to the end of the terminals is 37 mm. The switch is mounted through a panel using the M19 × 1.0 threaded housing and the included fastening nut.
The LED ring can be connected in two ways. With wiring diagram A, the light ring is constantly on regardless of the switch position. With wiring diagram B, the ring only lights up when the switch is in the ON position. This allows for a choice between permanent orientation lighting and visual indication of an activated function.
The switch has an IP67 rating and withstands temporary immersion. The mechanical lifespan is specified at 20,000 operating cycles, making the construction suitable for control panels in exposed marine electrical installations.
The separate pre-assembled cable set with item no. 14.215.20 can be used for quick installation and contains a jumper for selecting the LED function. The cable set can also be used when the 12 V switch is to be part of a 24 V supply; the switch's own rated data remains 12 V and 20 A. The symbol sticker set with item no. 14.215.25 contains 40 backlit, water-resistant, and scratch-resistant marine symbols for FLAT switches in the 14.215 series.
