This flexible PVC insert is the white version D insert for a two-part fender profile on the boat's hull. It is supplied as a continuous 20 m roll and is used in conjunction with the separate base profile, item no. 44.055.05.
The insert is mounted into the base profile, after which the two components form the complete rub rail and fender profile. The base profile and insert are sold separately, so both parts are required to assemble the finished profile system.
The flexible PVC construction is shatterproof, dimensionally stable, and can be bent without forming wrinkles or kinks. This makes the insert suitable for following the lines of the hull and forming the outer, shock-absorbing part of the profile.
The version D system has a documented profile height of 55 mm and a profile projection of 5 mm. These dimensions describe the overall profile system and its compatibility with the base profile, not the individual cross-section dimensions of the loose insert.
For a complete finish, the white ABS end cap 44.055.01 can be used. Joints between profile sections can be covered with the white connector cover 44.042.22.
