This Fuel-Lock fuel tank vent with anti-spill protection is intended for the vent line of a marine fuel tank. The vent allows air to pass out of the tank while an integrated trap system retains fuel.
The trap system reduces the risk of fuel spillage, pollution, and streaks on the hull side. An internal bulkhead design simultaneously prevents water from entering the vent and passing into the fuel tank.
The visible exterior part is made of polished AISI 316 stainless steel. The internal unit is made of copolymer polypropylene, which is resistant to hydrocarbons.
The vent is mounted through a bulkhead or panel with a maximum material thickness of 12 mm. The polished front is placed on the outside, while the trap housing and the downward-pointing hose barb are placed on the inside. The hose connection is intended for a vent hose with a nominal internal diameter of 16 mm, and the hose barb's shown external diameter is 16.5 mm.
The total vertical dimension including the hose barb is 87.3 mm. The housing's vertical dimension is 54.3 mm, the barb section is 33 mm, and the straight part of the barb is 30 mm. The side view also indicates an internal housing dimension of 70.1 mm and a front protrusion of 9.1 mm. In the other projection, the housing dimension is 56.5 mm and the total dimension including the front and mounting part is 79.2 mm.
