Garmin EmpirBus™ WDU v2

The WDU is a web server unit that distributes detailed, customized graphics to any HTML5-enabled device. The WDU unit allows any EmpirBus system to be controlled and monitored with a user interface that is fully optimized for its purpose and supported by our GPSMAP® touchscreen MFD cockpit displays. HTML5 pages and apps can be graphically configured without limitations and work seamlessly with the EmpirBus software.

The WDU, which operates over a NMEA 2000® network, operates at Ethernet speeds (GMN circular connector) for HTML5 distribution. It also offers optional wireless connectivity via Wi- Fi® technology. This allows compatible smartphones and tablets to be used as control devices for the EmpirBus switching system.
