The Garmin GPSMAP 1022xsv is the obvious solution for those who want a powerful professional chartplotter combined with advanced sonar in one compact unit. The large 10.1” WSVGA color display with wide viewing angles provides excellent visibility in sunlight, while the robust button-operated interface with a multifunction knob ensures full control – even in rough weather and when wearing gloves.
The built-in 10 Hz GPS/GLONASS receiver updates position and heading 10 times per second for extreme precision. As an xsv model, the unit features built-in 1 kW CHIRP traditional sonar, as well as CHIRP ClearVü™ and CHIRP SideVü™ scanning sonar, which deliver photo-like images of fish and structure under and around the boat. It is, of course, also compatible with Panoptix™ and LiveScope™ live scanning (transducer and potentially a black box are sold separately).
