The Garmin GPSMAP 8412 is a professional 12" Full HD MFD chartplotter with an IPS touchscreen, developed for serious anglers, cruisers, sailors, and racers who want maximum control at the helm. The large 11.6" IPS display (1920 × 1080 px) provides sharp graphics, wide viewing angles, and excellent readability in sunlight – even with polarized sunglasses.
The unit comes with a worldwide basemap and is fully compatible with Garmin Navionics+™ and Garmin Navionics Vision+™ as well as BlueChart g3 and LakeVü g3, allowing you to customize mapping for both coastal and inland navigation, Auto Guidance+™ routing, and detailed depth contours (charts and subscriptions purchased separately as needed).
The GPSMAP 8412 is designed as the heart of a modern marine system: via Garmin Marine Network, NMEA 2000®, NMEA 0183, and J1939, you can integrate radar, autopilot, AIS, engines, digital switching, Fusion-Link™ audio systems, IP cameras, and much more. With SmartMode™ station controls, you can change complete screen layouts with one touch – e.g., "Docking," "Cruising," "Fishing," or "Racing."
Sonar functions are enabled via an external GSD™/GCV™ black box sonar (sold separately), allowing you to add powerful CHIRP, ClearVü, and SideVü, as well as Panoptix™/LiveScope™ as needed. This makes the GPSMAP 8412 ideal for both larger sailboats and motorboats, where the plotter serves as the central, flexible display and the sonar is built up modularly.
With built-in Wi-Fi®, Bluetooth®, and ANT®, you get wireless integration with the ActiveCaptain® app, quatix® marine watches, wireless sensors, and remote controls.
