The CHIRP DownVü/SideVü elements are rated at 500 W per element (1,500 W total) and operate at 260/455 kHz. The traditional CHIRP sonar is rated at 600 W and operates at mid-band CHIRP frequencies of 80-160 kHz. It includes a built-in fast-response temperature sensor.
