Description
Garmin gWind™ transducer
- Three-blade propeller for more accurate wind speed (TWS: True Wind Speed) in lighter winds
- Twin-fin design provides a more stable indication of wind angle (TWA: True Wind Angle)
- Optical reading technology provides superior performance at low wind speeds with excellent linearity
- The GND™ 10 black box transmits NMEA 2000® data to the Nexus Network and allows compatible Garmin chartplotters to integrate with Nexus sailing equipment and vice versa
- Easy plug-and-play installation between Nexus, Garmin chartplotters, NMEA 2000 and USB
The gWind transducer features twin-fin technology with a three-blade propeller, which provides more accurate wind speed in lighter winds, while the twin-fin design provides a more stable indication of wind angle. Unlike the cup design, the three-blade propeller is always effective. Combined with optical readout, this transducer provides superior accuracy at low wind speeds as well as excellent linearity.
The included GND 10 black box enables sharing of NMEA 2000 data between Nexus Network and compatible Garmin chartplotters. The GND 10 allows Garmin chartplotter owners to use Nexus sailing equipment and vice versa.
