Recharge kit with Hammar MA1 inflator for inflatable life jacket is a complete service kit with a 33 g CO₂ cylinder and inflator parts for a 150 N automatically inflatable life jacket with a Hammar MA1 system. The kit is used for recharging after activation or when replacing an inflator that has reached its expiry date.
The Hammar MA1 functions hydrostatically and requires both water and hydrostatic pressure for automatic activation upon submersion. The design reduces the risk of accidental activation due to general moisture, rain, or water spray. The system can also be activated manually using the life jacket’s pull cord.
This variant is intended for automatic 150 N life jackets with a Hammar MA1 system that require a 33 g CO₂ cylinder and the relevant MA1 configuration. It is explicitly documented for the Security 150 N life jacket with item no. 22.395.00. The cylinder size, inflator configuration, and the length of the manual pull cord must always match the parts being replaced; 150 N indicates the buoyancy class of the life jacket and not the capacity of the kit itself.
After recharging, the locking ring must be properly locked, the status indicator must be green, the expiry date must be valid, and the manual pull cord must be attached. The yellow inflator cap must be replaced after the five-year expiry date on the label or earlier if the status indicator shows red.
After use or replacement of the inflator, the life jacket should be inflated via the oral valve and checked for airtightness for at least overnight. The vest must then be completely emptied of residual air, dried, and packed correctly. Annual inspection and storage in a dry, ventilated place are recommended.
