The GMR 624 xHD2 6 kW high definition 4-foot (1.2 m) open array radar is designed for serious mariners on larger yachts and sportfishing boats under 40 feet. In situations where space is limited, 6 kW of power and the compact 4-foot (1.2 m) antenna provide the high sensitivity and consistent target positions you need. The unit is perfect for sailing and fishing on open water, at night, and in foggy conditions with limited or no visibility.
xHD2 high-power radar with 1.8 degree narrow beam
This high definition 6 kW radar has the power to provide excellent range up to 72 nautical miles, even in fog or rain. The unit's narrow 1.8 degree horizontal beam can find targets at long distances. It paints a clear picture of the coastline, other vessels and upcoming weather conditions on your Garmin chartplotter. You get consistent target positions, excellent target separation and reliable operation. 8-bit color images also help you distinguish large targets from smaller ones and provide improved target separation. Rotation speeds of 24 and 48 rpm with a maximum range of 72 nautical miles.
Bird mode

For an even better fishing experience, you can use bird mode, which allows you to locate birds on the water surface, where small fish are likely to be present.
Echo trail
A historical "trail" is left on the screen, allowing you to quickly and easily identify moving targets and potential collision threats.

VRM (variable range markers) and EBL (electronic bearing lines) allow for rapid measurements of distance and bearing to vessels and land.
Vertical range scaling
Adapts the selected radar range to the vertical size of the screen to display more forward radar results on the screen and make it easier to interpret target distances.
Dual range with overlay
A single radar antenna can provide split-screen views on the chartplotter side-by-side, with independent range indication and controls for both short and long range. One or both ranges can also be displayed as a map overlay.
