This GOK 90° bulkhead fitting for 8 mm gas pipes is a compression fitting for routing pipes through a bulkhead or wall in marine gas installations. The angled design changes the pipe routing by 90° and features RVS 8 connections on both sides for pipes with an 8 mm outer diameter.
The fitting is made of brass and belongs to the light series L. The connection is established using a union nut and a cutting ring against a 24° internal cone. When tightened correctly, the cutting ring is driven into the pipe, creating a mechanical, solder-free pipe connection.
The WSV-MS model is standardized as form BHEC according to EN ISO 8434-1 and is designed for bulkhead mounting with a maximum bulkhead thickness of 16 mm. It is supplied without washers. Brass fittings in this series have a DVGW type-examination certificate according to DIN 3387-1 for connecting metallic gas lines.
The maximum permissible pressure for this fitting class is 160 bar, while the documented temperature range for the brass material is −40 °C to +175 °C. When used as a smooth pipe connector in the DVGW gas sector, an operating temperature range of −20 °C to +60 °C applies. The permitted operating pressure in the specific installation always depends on the gas system's regulator, pipe type, and applicable installation requirements.
When mounting on copper or aluminum pipes, a suitable support sleeve must be used. For 8 × 1 mm copper pipes, the GOK VSH-MS support sleeve 08-093-00 can be used. For aluminum pipes, the support sleeve must be made of steel. A loose D-MS cutting ring in size 8, series L, has manufacturer no. 07-171-00.
