This brass union nut from GOK is an M-MS 8 component for pipe connections in gas installations, including marine installations. The package contains three nuts for 8 mm copper pipes.
The nut has an internal metric M14 × 1.5 thread and is used in compression fittings of series L. It serves as the union nut in the connection and must be combined with a suitable 8 mm cutting ring and a compatible fitting body. The nut therefore does not constitute a complete pipe connection on its own.
The fitting system follows DIN 2353 and EN ISO 8434-1. The union nut has the standard designation N and is manufactured according to DIN 3870, series L. The fitting system is DVGW type-approved.
When mounting on copper or aluminum pipes, a suitable reinforcing sleeve must be used. For 8 × 1 mm copper pipes, the VSH-MS brass reinforcing sleeve 08 093 00 can be used. Installation and leak testing must be carried out in accordance with current regulations for gas installations.
The separate 8 mm brass cutting ring with item no. 50.013.97 is a complementary part of the connection. The cutting ring must be replaced when the pipe is replaced.
