Description
The extremely accurate GPS 19x HVS position receiver/antenna provides up to 10 Hz update rates for position, speed, and time data. It enables highly sensitive reception and extended position tracking for Garmin's line of marine multifunction displays (MFDs), instrument displays, and autopilots.
Provides precise position data
This 32-channel receiver has the ability to track multiple global navigation satellite systems, including GPS, GLONASS, Galileo¹ and QZSS¹. With more satellites in view, it can provide more accurate positions in challenging conditions. With improved position, heading and speed accuracy delivered up to 10 times more often than other receivers/antennas, it provides a smoother picture of your position on the chartplotter/MFD at higher speeds.
WAAS-compatible, so it can determine your precise location within 3 m (9.84 ft). (Typical WAAS position accuracy)
Noticeable benefits
Compared to devices with slower update rates, the GPS 19x offers a dramatic improvement when used at low speeds. Position and route information from slower devices can flicker and fluctuate quite a bit at speeds below 1 mph (1.6 km/h). The GPS 19x provides a consistent and smooth heading, which is especially important when trying to find a specific waypoint or mark.
The GPS 19x also shows the true course of the boat with absolute precision and without any jitter. This is especially evident when coming out of turns. And the GPS 19x eliminates position jumps that can occur at low speeds and when the boat is turning in a curve. The GPS 19x maintains a smooth position display throughout the turn².
Built for versatility
As part of Garmin's marine instrument line, the GPS 19x HVS is built to withstand the elements. This waterproof (IPX7) sensor can be mast-mounted or flush-mounted. It can also be mounted on the underside of many fiberglass decks, where it may be easier to install. It can also be configured for a 1 Hz or 5 Hz update rate to help support special installation requirements.
¹Supported when available. Software update required.
²GPSMAP 6000 series, 7000 series and newer chartplotters are optimized to take full advantage of 10 Hz information from GPS 19x.
