This GUIDI Ionio 316 stainless steel replacement filter basket is a replaceable filter insert for Ionio water filters in size G 3". The basket retains impurities in the incoming water before it is directed into installations for, among other things, the engine heat exchanger, generator, or air conditioning system.
The filter basket has a cylindrical, perforated design and measures D 155 mm, D1 93.5 mm, and H 215 mm. D and D1 are the original designations from the technical dimension drawing and indicate two different diameter measurements of the component. The construction is made of 316 stainless steel for use in marine water filter systems.
The spare part fits the GUIDI Ionio G 3" filter with item no. 17.648.07 directly. The corresponding GUIDI spare part has manufacturer no. KIT1164.000011 and is compatible with the Ionio filter series 1164, 3164, 1166, and 3166 in the documented 3" version.
The basket should be checked regularly for impurities and deposits, as a clogged filter insert reduces the performance of the water filter. Cleaning can be performed with water and compressed air. Persistent deposits can be removed carefully with a scraper. At the same time, check the edge profile and gasket parts for damage and correct positioning.
Always close the water intake valve before opening the filter, especially when the installation is located below the waterline. Before restarting the system, the filter cover, ring, screws, and washers must be correctly installed and tightened. If necessary, use NBR U-profile KIT1164GU011 with a length of 490 mm for this size.
