This GUIDI Mediterraneo replacement filter basket in 316 stainless steel is a removable filter insert for 3" water filters. It serves as an original spare part in compatible Mediterraneo filters and collects impurities in the intake water before the water is passed on through the installation.
The filter basket is used in marine raw water and cooling water systems, where the complete filter can protect heat exchangers, generators, and air conditioning units, among other things, against impurities in the intake water. It is not a complete water filter and must be inserted into a compatible filter housing. The Mediterraneo filter system is not intended as a pre-filter for diesel or petrol.
The basket is made of 316 stainless steel and has a cylindrical design with a lifting handle, allowing the insert to be removed from the filter housing. The total height including the handle is 256 mm, the diameter is 165 mm, and the height of the filter basket itself is 151 mm.
The replacement filter basket is designed for 3" variants in the GUIDI Mediterraneo series 1162, 1163, 3162, and 3163. It fits complete filters with manufacturer part numbers 1162.220011, 1163.220011, 3162.440011, and 3163.440011. It is also directly compatible with the complete 3" water filter with item no. 17.654.08.
The manufacturer's spare part number is KIT1162CE011. The designation G 3" describes the size of the compatible water filter and not a thread on the filter basket itself.
