This gas pressure regulator for the Rafale shrink-wrapping gun from Guilbert Express is the Area 5 variant for Turkey. It is used to regulate and connect the propane gas supply for Rafale 4040 and Rafale+ 4065 shrink-wrapping guns and carries the manufacturer reference 693R5.
The high-pressure regulator is intended for propane in the gas phase. It operates with an inlet pressure of 4–16 bar and an adjustable outlet pressure of 1.5–3.5 bar. The specified maximum gas flow is 10–12 kg/h.
The country-specific inlet follows the Turkish G.8 standard and has a W21.8 × 1/14 LH left-hand thread. The outlet is a 3/8″ left-hand thread for the connection to the shrink-wrapping gun’s hose system. This variant is intended only for gas cylinders with the verified Turkish connection.
The regulator is equipped with a safety valve against excessive gas flow and an automatic gas shut-off in the event of a hose rupture or excessive flow. After checking the installation, the safety function is reactivated using the manual reset button. The gas flow direction must be followed during installation, and seals as well as connections must be checked for tightness. Leak detection should be performed using soapy water or another foaming agent and never with an open flame.
The regulator can be used with the shrink-wrapping gun item no. 46.177.00, which requires a separate country-specific regulator. The manufacturer recommends replacing the regulator after ten years of normal use.
