This propane safety pressure regulator from Guilbert Express is the Zone 0 variant for the Rafale 4040 and Rafale+ 4065 shrink guns. The regulator is mounted between the propane cylinder and the shrink gun and is used for shrinking polyethylene film and covers. It is a separate system component; the shrink gun itself is not included.
The regulator is designed for an inlet pressure of 4–16 bar and delivers a regulated outlet pressure of 1.5–3.5 bar. The maximum capacity is 10–12 kg of propane per hour. The regulation reduces the cylinder pressure to a lower and more stable operating pressure, but the regulator is not intended to serve as the normal shut-off valve for the gas supply.
The Zone 0 version features a Shell G.2 inlet with a W21.8 × 1/14 LH thread. The outlet connection is a 3/8" left-hand thread. This variant is intended for gas cylinder connections in Algeria, Belgium, Spain, France, Hungary, Luxembourg, Morocco, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, and Tunisia.
The integrated safety feature automatically cuts off the gas supply in the event of a hose rupture or abnormally high gas flow. The regulator also features a reset button to restore operation after the safety function has been triggered. The system manual must be read before installation and use.
The manufacturer's part number is 693. The regulator can be used with the Rafale Black Edition+ shrink gun, part no. 46.177.00. Connections and the country of use should always be checked before ordering, as the Rafale system is available with several country-specific regulator variants.
