Country-specific propane pressure regulator for Rafale shrink gun from Guilbert Express is an adjustable high-pressure regulator for the gas supply of Rafale 4040 and Rafale+ 4065 shrink guns. This zone 3 variant features an Italian G.1 cylinder connection and is intended for propane cylinders in Italy and Greece.
The regulator operates with an inlet pressure of 4–16 bar and delivers an adjustable outlet pressure of 1.5–3.5 bar. The maximum gas flow rate is 10–12 kg/h. During operation, a setting of around 2 bar is typically used, while the correct setting depends on the desired flame length and power.
The cylinder-side Italian G.1 connection has a W20 × 1/14 LH left-hand thread. The regulator outlet is an external G 3/8 thread according to ISO 228, and the Rafale system hose is connected via a 3/8-inch left-hand thread. The variant has manufacturer number 693R3 and is based on the 693 regulator family.
An integrated excess flow valve automatically shuts off the gas supply in the event of a hose rupture or abnormally high gas flow. After triggering, the regulator is reactivated manually with the reset button. The regulation function keeps the set outlet pressure stable within the specified inlet pressure range.
The regulator is used together with a propane-powered heat gun for shrinking polyethylene film, for example during boat storage and winter wrapping. The equipment must be used in sufficiently ventilated areas. For normal operation, a propane cylinder with sufficient capacity is recommended; a 13 kg cylinder is the recommended size for the Rafale system, while small 5 kg cylinders may limit the gas flow.
The regulator is compatible with the shrink gun with item no. 46.177.00, where the country-specific regulator is ordered separately.
