This propane-powered shrink gun in the Rafale Black Edition+ series is a professional tool for shrinking and welding polyethylene film. The handheld 4065 model delivers up to 66 kW and is suitable for applications including packaging, palletizing, boat storage, and winter covering.
The power is regulated via the gas pressure within a working pressure range of 1.5–3.5 bar. Gas consumption is 3.75 kg/hour at 2.5 bar and a maximum of 4.8 kg/hour at 3.5 bar, while air consumption is approximately 48–72.2 m³/hour. The gun uses commercial propane in gas phase and is intended for connection to a 13 or 35 kg propane cylinder using a suitable country-specific regulator.
The 360° rotating aluminum burner allows for adjustment of the working position. Double heat protection reduces heat transfer to the outside of the burner, while integrated piezo ignition and a protected dead-man handle support safe operation. The gas supply is cut off when the trigger is released. The quick-connect, swivel hose fitting simultaneously limits twisting and unnecessary wear on the hose.
The shrink gun weighs 1.17 kg and has a noise level of 85–88 dBA. It is supplied in a transport case with an 8 m rubber hose according to NF EN 559, user manual, a pair of gloves, and a heat reflector. The product is CE marked with no. 4450. Regulator and country-specific gas cylinder fitting are not included.
When working with shrink film, use large, even movements rather than stationary heating. A working distance of approximately 25–35 cm can be used during final shrinking, depending on the film and the task. For indoor use, ensure sufficient ventilation. The device is intended for instructed professional users and must not be used as a stationary heat source.
