This outboard motor fuel connector is a tank-mounted male connector for 1991-onwards Honda fuel systems. The connector forms the fixed connection point on the tank, where the compatible female connector of the fuel hose is attached.
The design is a quick-disconnect coupling with a male interface. It is threaded into the fuel tank outlet and features 1/4" NPT male threads. The location on the tank side must be checked carefully, as connectors for the engine side and older Honda systems have different designs.
The connector replaces Honda OEM no. 16977-ZV5-A00, also referred to as a quick-disconnect tank fitting. Sierra 18-80400 is a proven aftermarket cross-reference for the same Honda OEM number.

The OEM number is used for, among others, Honda BF5DH, BF6AH, BF8DK2, BF9.9DK2, BF15DK2, BF20D3, BF25DK2, BF25DK3, BF30DK2, BF40DK2, BF40DK4, BF50DK2, BF50DK4, and BFP8DK0. Compatibility applies to the tank's connection system and should be verified against the original spare part number.
Always check the engine/tank model and original part number before purchasing, especially for transition model years or if the fuel tank has been replaced previously.
