This male Faston contact is a separate electrical terminal for a waterproof, 2-pole connector system. The variant is intended for cables with a cross-section of 4–6 mm² and is used as a flat male blade contact in the system's connector parts.
The contact is supplied as a single component and does not constitute a complete connector. The open cable end is designed for attachment to the cable, while the blade contact is inserted into the corresponding connector part. The connector housing and cable seal protect the contact when the entire system is correctly assembled.
A complete mated connector system for 4–6 mm² cable is built using the 2-pole connector parts 14.230.10 and 14.230.20, two male Faston contacts 14.231.20, two female Faston contacts 14.231.10, and four sealing inserts with gasket 14.232.01.
The item is documented exclusively for the cable cross-section of 4–6 mm². For 8–10 mm², other terminal and sealing variants are used. The separate contact has no documented IP rating; the waterproof rating refers to the correctly assembled connector system.
