Description
Harken SnubbAir - a low profile winch for spinnaker or gennaker. The Harken winch is not really a winch, but is designed as a large ratchet block to better and more securely hold the large flying sails. It was originally developed for the J/70s. With Harken's new SnubbAir, you can slacken the gennaker faster when booming, as you don't need a ratchet block to provide resistance when slackening the booms. The SnubbAir fits the mounting holes on Harken's winch size 8, which is standard on the J70s, but which other boat types can also benefit from. The large diameter of the drum means that it provides more grip for the rope, and that you can get a few meters of rope home faster.
